Carrier Qualification

Our Standard

Every carrier in the WeBook Freight network is qualified before hauling a load. That standard is what keeps freight safe, shippers confident, and good carriers busy.

Baseline Requirements

• Active operating authority (MC number) in good standing with the FMCSA.
• Active DOT registration and acceptable safety data.
• Automobile liability insurance meeting or exceeding $1,000,000 combined single limit (or as required for the freight hauled).
• Cargo insurance appropriate to the commodities transported (typically $100,000 minimum).
• Valid W-9 and completed carrier packet, including our carrier agreement.
• No unresolved unsatisfactory safety rating.

Ongoing Monitoring

Authority, insurance, and safety data are verified at setup and monitored on an ongoing basis. Lapses in insurance or authority result in suspension from the network until resolved.

Additional Requirements

Certain freight (oversized, hazmat, high-value, temperature-controlled, or cross-border) may require additional endorsements, permits, equipment, or insurance. Qualification for one freight type does not qualify a carrier for all freight types.
